I don't understand this. Are you saying if there's no number you don't believe it or think it's false or would you like the link or what? At its peak over 11 weeks ago, over 13,000 deaths a week were being attributed to CV. Now it's a little over 3,000.

According to the CDC, the pandemic started March 8th and continued until June 13. The CDC is about 1 month behind in logging fatalities but since CV fatalities have dropped each of the last 4 weeks, there is a strong assumption the US has not been in a pandemic since June 13.

Now if you want to make the assumption the increasing case count of CV will lead to a late summer or fall pandemic, that's a different path. But the hot spots of testing and hospitalizations in the 13 states continue to be in highly dense population centers. They also are in a much lower age category and, so far, those ages have been highly resistant to severe health consequences.

Sorry, I was talking to 6:53.

DP. I suppose that you have looked at the responses by every other country and think that only Sweden and Brazil are responding properly to this not-pandemic.

Such a strange post like this is revenge for being a Trump state. Did you post the opposite when the virus swept through the blue NE?

Perhaps you also missed the number of fatalities - 635. The weekly number has declined 11 straight weeks and is down 75% from it's peak. The tweet didn't mention fatalities in the U.S. have now gone below the weekly historical average. These numbers published by the CDC show a different picture in stark contrast to those being pumped out by the states. It's hard to reconcile the CDC's hard numbers with the those of the states. This is government bumbling at its finest.

It is a problem with Trump supporters, so it might be revenge from the virus. You know that......Democratic Hoax.

LOL.

Yes, Trump directed the millions of people to go out protesting so the virus would spread.
Idiot.

That's not how the virus spread. https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2020/06/30/black-lives-matter-protests-did-not-cause-an-uptick-in-covid-19-cases

The media will never admit that it is due to the protests. It is.

Cases are going up all across the country - even in states that hadn't opened up. New York, NJ, CA, etc.

When "health professionals" and politicians encouraged the protests, the media will NEVER blame the protests on the rise in cases.

New York state reported 918 new coronavirus infections and nine deaths from COVID-19, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday.

The 918 figure recorded Thursday represents the first time more than 900 new infections have been reported since June 12, when 916 people tested positive for the virus statewide.

“The more than 900 new cases in New York yesterday, while representing just 1.38% of tests, is a reminder that the virus is still here,” the Democratic governor said in a news release.

NJ and PA:

New increases in the number of coronavirus cases and risky behavior among people at bars, restaurants, and beaches has caused officials in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware to warn residents on Monday to follow safety measures amid the ongoing pandemic.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said indoor dining would not be allowed to begin this week as planned and said the state was “losing ground” in terms of numbers of new cases and hospitalizations, citing data from the last two weeks. Delaware, which had been scheduled to move to its final phase of reopening Monday but postponed it, was warning weekend beachgoers to get coronavirus tests.

Of course these increases are due too "opening up." The fact that the increases occurred in the appropriate time frame after the protests is not considered. Typical.

This resurgence is due to a failure at the federal level.

Not just NYC, but DC, Minneapolis, Buffalo and a host of other cities. The common thread of what we are seeing now is moronic governors or local leaders opening too soon.

Prodded on by president Trump and the MAGA reopeners. This is on them.

Actually, there was an outbreak in Hoboken, traced to people who just came up from...Florida.

Exactly. It's the uneven closing and premature reopening that did it. And it's spread so far now, being a red or blue state won't matter, unless we stop all interstate travel.
