Me three. My son actually looked at multiple schools we have been referring to here. He came to the same conclusion about GP. Seems like, believe it or not, people do have differing definitions of the "the big 3".

I feel I have a right to defend myself. I believe I am the "Prep Booster" you are talking about. I was just stating that I believe Prep to be a better institution. Look, my wife graduated from NCS, so am I by no means boosting Prep unnecessarily. I genuinely see the graduates of Prep speaking of nothing but camaraderie, whereas at St. Albans, multiple men spoke of social insecurity - that they felt intimidated by the school.

The only insecure one is the Prep booster who has to go on every thread and justify how wonderful Prep is and constantly compare it to St Albans. No one from St Albans uses Prep as a comparator. I have never met anyone who was debating between these two schools. We look at Sidwell or GDS for academics and Landon for an all boys school with good sports when comparison shopping. Remember the PP who found the STA community warm and welcoming when their son started in 7th grade rather than the insecure Prep booster who feels the compelling need to put down St Albans, the boys and their parents at every turn. I for one am THRILLED you and your son won't be in our community of nerds and parents with supposed attitudes.

To the poster(s) who is sparring with this insecure STA parent. It would probably be best if you went and wrangled with someone who is more fair game. I don't believe this individual understands how you are getting their goat, nor how they look to the rest of us. Just a suggestion, please.

What exactly is "grade deflation?"

A's and A+'s are not as common as at some schools where there might be grade inflation.

Like I said, the attitude comes out. So easily do they get defensive. I see great underlying insecurity.

Prep does have better athletics facilities and course work is easier - STA has grade deflation. Prep has more redshirts. Wait a minute. Add this together and you have pluses in the Prep column for the GPA and athletic edges in college admissions.

Amen.

Oh oops shouldn't say amen since GP has the best "spiritual platform."

Go spend one second with Rev Brooks Hundley of STA and let us all know if this is true.

Who knows? It's STORY LADY, after all! Don't you people recognize her and her amazing son from all the GP-focused threads during application season? The spelling alone should give you a clue.

I dont think it's story lady because her kid was in 7th grade and she was looking at applying the following year. I could be wrong but I thought she was potentially genuine and she did actually stick to her story. I think this one is the same troll who was posting all those long lists of schools a few weeks ago and asking people to rank and comment on them. At one point she claimed to be an AD and at another a parent applying. She kept bumping them up when no one took the bait.
