you guys have no idea what you're talking about. Midwest was kicked out of the ECNL, they didn't leave. I have first hand knowledge from a board member. This was in motion from last year when they accepted Nationals. ECNL would not have 5 teams from MI in the Midwest conference. so starting 25/26 one would have to go. Hawks would not give up their magic teams so it came down to Liverpool and Midwest and Midwest lost because of weaker performance over their 6 age groups (I don't believe any age group has qualified for champions league). Immediately after the couches conference in Las Vegas they moved their tryouts from June to March 1st to secure as many players as they can from leaving. Even this morning their website and all social media advertised ecnl and RL teams for 2025/26. A club excited to move to the GA would announce this well in advance and not move up their tryouts and cling to ecnl logo's. No club, team, or family in the ecnl view going to the GA as a step up. They've been demoted to Tier 2 (some could argue Tier 3).

I would check your sources, NVA's website has been updated to GA/MLSNext

Someone please answer this honestly. Shouldn't the best of something be limited so its easier to whittle down? Less ECNL teams around here does not necessarily mean GA has won anything becuase those are leagues. As a consumer which league is setup now for my DD's success. With less ECNL teams my instincts are saying ECNL is more selective and thus are better.

Eventually, families will get tired of driving hours and hours for games.

Or maybe clubs in the DMV want a better chance of winning something in GA.

You’re still driving hours. ECNL and GA. Doesn’t matter. There’s driving.

GA teams will do far less driving. Enough teams now in VA and MD for a full conference. ECNL will still be going to carolina

I would think the Maryland people would be more likely go to PA and NJ

GA Mid-Atlantic is currently realigning so something will happen but yes, no trips south of Richmond or north of Delware I would assume.

Isn't Charlotte one of the best clubs on the East coast?

Beats me. If anything, LSC gets MLSN.

I am somewhat new to this. NVA was ECNL and Loudon was ECRL, right? Did they both get GA or is Loudon GA Aspire and those teams can use the logo?

You won't get an unbiased answer here.
