Yeh, the girls treated that way...many of which already have D1 offers. Not handled well.

Two different issues. On the national anthem your politics dictate your views most likely.

On the three month benching, why did the parents put up with that? Maybe on boys side but not girls. I would expect they would complain to coach, td, and board. Story would not be leaving but testing waters but we will leave if benched. I can’t imagine a soccer club that would go along with the benching.

The new coach isn't going to kick anyone off the team in the spring as he's not even the coach of the team(s) until the fall. He's committed to finishing out the season for his existing teams in Seattle, which he should. The old/existing coaches shouldn't kick anyone off the team in the spring as they/themselves are leaving the team this spring. It's unclear who is going to coach these girls come April (as BP can't be expected to coach 6 teams), May (once BP leaves), and beyond.

Right. So for anyone who is concerned about the well being of the kids - Who is going to bench players or kick them off what team? This year or next? Please ask AB and let us know when you get an answer. Maybe also ask him about fields while you are at it. We are all just dying to know.

That seems really harsh for kids. This is not that though. FCV coaches for next year are literally never around for regular practices and the ones that are are secretly happy the kids are moving to their new clubs. Culture at FCV is pretty strong so it seems likely kids play this Spring for each other even if they are not coming back next year. I hope so. 2024-2025 coaches won't be around to know the difference either way.

A) New coach for Fall (BC) pulled each current player aside 1 by 1 during the ID Session and asked them if they were planning on sticking around next season or not. A few said yes. A few said I don't know. Most said no. There was no conversation or confirmation from the parents on any of this.
B) As answered above, kids were put on the spot by the new coach (who these kids don't even know). Poor handled by coach.
C) No one (or not many?) was planning on quitting before the end of the season, but the way this was handled is certainly make many more considering leaving before season is over.

Why do the coaches care at this point? 79% of them are also leaving.

It's one thing to make everyone run laps, but when you specifically identify certain players who are not returning and then you make those kids run laps in front of other kids who don't have to run laps, it is hazing and illegal. Its intend for public embarrassment. Many of these players still have several months of their season left. Let's see how they are treated going forward.

Our coach has small groups that lose a game in a drill do push ups in front of the winners. Had no idea it was hazing until now. I’m calling my lawyer!

No coaching staff or fields announced other than DR.

Has VRSC said which GA teams their coaches (CC/MJ/ED) will have? Not sure how a player can seriously consider an offer if they don’t know who the coach is.
