You can't see much of anything in that grainy video, you lunatic. You don't even see the door or whether it is propped open.

You people are insane.

You don’t see the door swing either. JFC.

You wouldn't see it swing inward would you?

Just to clarify, are you all arguing if she literally propped the door open and he walked through a propped open door, or is she being accused of leaving the door unlocked after closing the door she temporarily propped open but then closed? I can't tell if you mean literally open or just not locked.

Furthermore he never takes his hands off the gun. His gait never changes either. He just walks in

You won't see a door swing in the video because he enters a recessed outdoor vestibule. See Google Street view here: https://goo.gl/maps/n9UXfREWzp2mYEKe9

Now will the PP who claims you can see him entering the door please apologize?

That’s not the door he entered. You can clearly see that door in google maps too in the NY Post video off to the right. Watch the video again.

That absolutely is the doorway he approaches in the video, I've just showed you the door from a head-on angle. You can see that he walks on the concrete path that leads to the door from the parking area in my Google Street View link.

Here is an angle that roughly matches that of the video: https://goo.gl/maps/1HnUzLNDyvzKbt69A

In the video, the dark objects he walks behind are the AC condensers.

Now, is this the door he entered? I don't know. But the PP in this thread claims the door is propped open in the video. I state that you can't draw that conclusion because the door in this video is part of sunken outdoor vestibule that is not within sight of the security camera in the leaked video.

He’s on the grass in the NY Post video.

Those doors swing outward.

How do you know? I haven't seen a lot of info about the door mechanics. Is there an article that discusses it?

Because it’s code for exit doors. They swing outward so that if there’s an emergency, they don’t block the inner corridor.

Okay, I didn't know Texas rules and haven't seen any clear videos of the door opening and closing.

The state police said it was closed but not locked.

It's not a "Texas rule." It's literally part of the International Building Code for ANY public building where crowds are gathered. Doors swing outward.

Correct. It’s code for commercial buildings. Residential is different.

Just go forward one step in Google Street View. You'll see them.

DP - no, of course there isn't. This poster is making it up. The only indication that door opens inward is the statement from the article that "she slammed it shut," which would be a slightly odd thing to say if the door swung outward, but doesn't tell us either way.

Behind paywall, can you summarize?

Lawyer: Uvalde teacher did not leave door open that gunman used to enter Robb Elementary School

An employee at Robb Elementary School had propped open a door to carry food from a car to the classroom last Tuesday, but closed it shut after realizing that a gunman was loose and heading toward the school, her San Antonio lawyer said.

Don Flanary said the school employee, who is not being identified out of safety concerns, called 911 to report an accident near the school involving a black truck, which turned out to be driven by gunman Salvador Ramos, 18.
....
McCraw told reporters on Friday that the employee propped open the door about the time the gunman crashed the truck, and that the employee called 911. But Flanary said he wants to make clear that the door was not left propped open.

“She saw the wreck,” Flanary said. “She ran back inside to get her phone to report the accident. She came back out while on the phone with 911. The men at the funeral home yelled, ‘He has a gun!’ She saw him jump the fence, and he had a gun so she ran back inside.

“She kicked the rock away when she went back in. She remembers pulling the door closed while telling 911 that he was shooting. She thought the door would lock because that door is always supposed to be locked.”

Messages were left Tuesday seeking comment from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation said surveillance video and audio verifies the employee removed the rock holding the door open and closed it.

“She slammed it shut,” said the source, who requested anonymity because the source does not have authority to speak with the media.

Both Flanary and the source said a person exiting through the door might not be able to tell if it was locked.

The source said investigators are trying to determine if the door was unlocked earlier or if its lock was not working because the gunman used the same door to get into the school, go down the hallways and into adjacent rooms 111 and 112. The rooms were full of fourth-graders, where he took advantage of a delayed police response and shot and killed his victims.

The source said at least one other school employee has reported to federal agents and DPS that at least one other door in the building did not lock, so investigators are looking into that report. Investigators also have received reports that another entry/exit door into the building was open during school hours, the source said.

She lawyered up. This statement is from her lawyer

"Lawyered up"? F**k you. The problem is freaks being able to buy assault weapons. Not teachers propping open doors, assh*ole.

She felt a need to go to get a lawyer. Probably because she’s the one who propped the door open with the rock to begin with well before.

And the state police said she closed it, and that they learned that from security videos.

They very likely have security video from the interior hallway that show her closing it.

Now, if the door did not lock due to maintenance problems, that is an issue. But not the fault of these poor teachers or the students or the person who had previously propped open the door to bring in food from her car.

The video is very clear. They are covering up because the media started screaming “they are blaming a teacher”. Find those articles.
