This is just a standard of practice for us and Israel. Look no further than Gaza where schools , hospitals and other civilian infrastructure are targeted. They just struck out a desalination plant in Iran. Wouldn't surprise me if this is just the start of many war crimes to come.

Reuters has confirmed that the elementary school in the Iranian city of Minab was bombed TWICE by the US military, 40 minutes apart.
This was intentional. You don't "accidentally" bomb a school TWO TIMES.

Two things tell us all we need to know. Trump says Iran did it, and Hesgeth said they’re still investigating a week later. So yeah, there’s zero doubt this was the US’s fault, and the only thing they’re still investigating is what narrative they can passably sell.

Trump's obviously lying, For once, Hesgeth's telling the truth. But, he's not telling the whole truth. There's was it the US' fault, and there's what's the root cause so we can prevent it in the future (assuming we want to/have the capability to/...). Hesgeth's not saying what he knows to be true today - The US did it. But he also knows that the details about how we came to do it are under investigation, and such investigations take time. Probably due to an old map. How did the old map come to get used? Why wasn't it reviewed? Who missed the handover from the IRCG to the school? Is there any way to prevent such occurrences in the future? ...

Hitting a school for of young girls was not an accident. It was intentional to let the Iranian people know that America will take away your most precious at any moment. Do not resist.
That is a wild speculation on your part which omits another glaring reality:
The school was directly adjacent to an IRGC naval base in Minab, which was targeted with multiple facilities that were hit.
Occam's razor: It's far more evident that one of the warheads was either accidentally mistargeted or malfunctioned and went off target.
It's clear that the Minab IRGC naval base was the intended target. If the US wanted to "send a message" as you suggest, they would have targeted a lot more schools.
