Ugh, sorry, op.

I'd say no, don't have the room.

I can’t believe this is up for debate. Proving once again that DCUM attracts a high percentage of antisocial people. (No brainer for me and I’m an introvert who is not particularly aocial(.

Are you always this condescending to your husband or is it just around him family.

It's called boundaries with siblings who are failure to launch.

So now a sibling getting married is a failure to launch?

A sibling who is too cheap or lazy to book a hotel room to hang out in before the ceremony is. 100%.

I feel sorry for your henpecked husband. Remember it's his house too.

I assume the groomsmen will come dressed. They arent doing hair and makeup. They are just going to hang out for a little while.

No big deal.

It is the right and generous thing to do, OP.

I think it's fair to say no as long as you're consistent and clear about your inability to host and follow through on that. You don’t do dinner parties, no summer BBQs, no Thanksgiving or kids Birthday parties, etc.

I’m a total introvert and not huge on having company in my house. For this I would be saying yes. I would have a cleaner come the day before and order sandwiches etc like mentioned above. I would not be worried in the least about leftovers getting wrapped up or put away.

A blast for the guys, definitely.

Maybe not so much for the lady that has to clean the house before and after, arrange the food, make sure it all gets put away and crumbs are wiped down before she puts her dress on, get ready and wrangle the kids (and make sure she's decent whenever she pops out of her bedroom to take care of any of these things).

It's a pain in the ass at best, and they should be very grateful if she does it.

Well life is short and we do things for those we love. Run a vacuum and take out the trash. NBD. So many uptight people. Geez.
