Who’s against peace? Nobody. This is march for a cause nobody disagrees with. Not exactly the bravest thing you can do.

I realize I need to stop coming to DCUM because I react. Maybe in a while this can be part of my peaceful day but I am just getting started walking for peace.
Be well.

Doesn’t look like their walk did much for peace. Even here at DCUM we’re butching at each other in this very thread.

Do you think they'll walk up Delacarlia Parkway to get to Massachusetts Avenue or is that too roundabout? I live near AU and would rather try to see them on Monday morning than Tuesday at National Cathedral or elsewhere. Just trying to figure out where to stand!

thanks for this, but if we're looking to see them along their route, how do we find out what that is? I'd rather wave to them while they're walking than go join crowds at the Lincoln or Cathedral.

Arlington put up maps for Min and Tues AM.

Arlington Police put up the exact route all the way to Chain Bridge. I think I mentioned that this weekend.

. It’s supposed to be rolling, so they shouldn’t shut from Marymount all the way to Chain Bridge all at once, but yeah, it’s going to be fun. Wonder what drop off at Jamestown will look like.

Honestly more concerned about those of us who need to cross the chain bridge. There's not much room on Canal for cars AND monks walking.

If only they announced the schedule ahead of time, so people could make alternate arrangements….
If only there were other bridges across the Potomac…..

Wait a minute……

Its not just about he bridges. The main streets in Georgetown/Palisades were impacted for 2 hours.

Do you know how many protests and demonstrations there are in DC every year? If this was disruptive (the monks’ presence was not large at all), blame the police responsible for street closures or those who issued the permit.

The monks have the same right to walk along the street as you have to drive. Consider that.

No one blamed the monks. People were asking for clarification on what would be shut down. FWIW, the inital map the monks put out did not include Chain Bridge.

There's probably a good reason not to put out their exact route, don't ya think?

Are you just here to argue?

They quite literally put out their exact route from TX to DC. Somethings changed along the way.
