anyways...

There have been 2 or 3 tryouts so far. Can anyone who went say something useful like how many kids were there, how the level was, or whether the coaches had any actual connection to DC United?

I have not attended but can see the updates as a coach recently hired is sharing updates via his IG feed. He is not an exclusive coach as he is easily accepted to folks in the local “footy” culture.

All of the sessions were Waitlisted except Fredericksburg. I don’t know one person who has attended so maybe everyone is trying to keep it hush hush 🤷.

Good luck trying to keep pace with the False 8 nation.

My DS attended the Rockville tryout at sofive on Tuesday. He was in the older 12-14 time slot. Well organized. Competition was good. Some ecnl and mls next kids along with other smaller clubs. Tryout was all scrimmage, which was pretty exhausting on the sofive fields. Multiple coaches watching each field. Received offer via email on wed. Unclear how many received offers. All in all, it exceeded my expectations. We’ll see how the training sessions go.

Lots of coaches attending the tryouts. Good number of kids. Hope the training sessions will be good and intense.
