I've read 4 books (two for and two against) and still don't know but lean toward it's better to have money centrally controlled. As an asset, I don't agree. As a speculation tool, I don't agree. As a store of value -- this is where I get stuck and it's very philosophical but I don't see gold as a store of value (or asset) either. Why would BTC be a store of value above and beyond the dollar.
Yadda yadda -- it's not prone to inflation because the supply is fixed. But it is prone to inflation -- when it drops in value your spending power decreases -- that's a type of inflation. So what's the point other than anonymity and decentralization? I don't know about you but I like knowing I can file a chargeback or reverse a transaction, which requires a centralized authority of some kind.

Why are you a “believer”? This isn’t a matter of faith.
I believe that there is going to be a single currency at some point and to me it makes sense it will be digital. I’ve read enough about Bitcoin’s founders and have a friend who explained to me in the store of value for a currency that is decentralized.
I am very much not a MAGA bro. I am an idealist (usually pretty progressive) woman who is future-oriented.
Um ok … that seems pretty stupid. Do you think Bitcoin will be the single currency? When do you believe this single currency will take over? Please read a book.
I’ve read a few books on it. Have you?

I'm thinking about throwing another 30k in...and continuing to keep what I've invested (not including profit) in bit coin at around 4 percent of my
portfolio as it rises. What is your bitcoin strategy

10% of my portfolio and letting it ride (started at much less).
