Last year, COVID was the leading cause of job-related death for police officers. And they have a very low vaccination rate. It's insane -- they are sworn to protect people, but they won't get a vaccine that will protect them and others from an infection that could be deadly. Both groups frequently respond to calls involving medical emergencies, and interact with medically vulnerable people. They need to be vaccinated.

Yeah, the NFL attracts these types, you have to be willing to get your neck broken and your brains bashed to win a game, after all.

I think most will get the vaccination once they figure out they might lose their jobs.

It's mind boggling to me they haven't already done so, but an old acquittance just died of Covid - was a *pharmacist* who refused to get the vaccination due to political reasons.

What is the solution in your eyes? They need to be vaccinated. They aren’t. It’s not like they will be saving the city being put on some kind of non public-facing position where their vaccine status won’t affect anyone.

I'm sure DC will have no problem replacing them and this won't in anyway turn into a clusterf%^k that exacerbates the cities problems
