Yeah, that's way I never go to a dealership for car maintenance/repairs. Lots and lots of "fees" on top of already high hourly rates.

The hazard fee (recycling) was a separate charge. They also charged me for shop supplies.

This was Ourisman VW in Rockville. It was explained to me that it was a county imposed fee to protect my information. I have never noticed it before and could not find anything online to support the claim that it was a MOCO imposed fee.

It's the battery recycling fee right?

I have never heard of this - is this a new tax that went into pace 9/1? I had service on my car in August and did not have that fee on my bill. [and I check my bill - I stopped getting my car serviced at ourisman vw because they charged you to print you bill]

I had a battery replacement done at a MOCO dealership service center and there was a document retention fee of $7.16 on my bill. The dealership said it was acounty imposed fee. Does anyone know anything about this?
