Um, honest question: what on earth does this mean?

Not PP but pretty sure what was meant here is if the average number of cycles it takes to get pregnant is 3, the "right" side of that percentage would be success in the 1st or 2nd cycle, and the "wrong" side would be if it took more than 3 cycles.

+1 my doc uses language like this

In our case I felt like it was a numbers game and if we kept trying maybe we’d get lucky. We did change up our protocol a few times though to see if it would make a difference. It took us 4 IVFs to conceive our first child and another 5 IVFs (and one frozen) to conceive our twins. We were dealing with a genetic issue which causes miscarriages (translocation) so were putting back genetically tested normal embryos. It’s a grueling process - good luck to you.

Yes. I had success on my fourth transfer. Untested embryos, however, and no change to protocol. Our diagnosis is unexplained infertility. I 100 percent think in many cases (especially when “nothing” is wrong) it is simply down to numbers., whether you were on the right or wrong side of the positive percentage.

Are your failures with tested embryos?

Why doesn’t your dr want to change the protocol? Let me guess you’re at SGF.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I’m in the same boat so don’t have any advice yet. I’m trying an unmedicated transfer for #4. I’ll let you know if I experience a positive. If not, another fun round of IVF.

Hi did anybody here have over 3 repeated unexplained implantation failure (no positive ever) and suddenly got a success with little to no change in protocol (pure number game)?
