First, the embryos are stored at CFA. They only send a few cells from the embryos away for testing.

Check out whatever you signed (whatever plan you have) to see if any storage was covered at all. If not, they'll call you to charge you for the first year (which you can pay yearly or monthly). At least this was what happened when I was with CFA two years ago.

For those who used insurance, how does their billing for storage work? I haven’t heard anything since they froze them (I will reach out next week and ask).

We just did our retrieval and have the frozen embryos. We paid out of pocket for everything since we have no insurance coverage. I believe we paid for storage. Do you know if the embryos are stored at CFA or Igenemix?
