I don't either but I would say the most put together people I know have this one interest in common. It sounds awful to me but fascinating to them and I wonder what about them or about me guides our taste for true crime. I know its nothing bad, they are truly good, compassionate people but what does it satisfy?

I'm PP 20:02, I've always been fascinated with true crime. I think it's the mystery, and also the need for justice (maybe because as a young teen I was kidnapped and raped and I never got justice for that). I just really want to see that the perpetrators are punished for what they did, and hope that the missing are found.

I'm also fascinated with viruses and post-apocalyptic books and movies involving diseases (not too big on zombie apocalypse stories). I have probably watched every episode of Law & Order and L&O SVU multiple times.

Asha’s case is so strange! What do you think happened to her?

Ha, I both agree with this and also want to know what happened to the Murdaugh family in South Carolina, because vigilante justice is so fascinating.

Yeah, the family that died hiking for no known cause. Creepy.

Umm...pretty much ALL OF THEM. (I'm a Websleuths junkie)

Really though, these are the cases I have bookmarked that I follow the most for updates:

Summer Moon-Utah Wells
Orrin and Orson West
Cash Gernon
The family who died hiking
Suzanne Morphew
Sophie Long
Daybell/Vallow
Levi Ellerbe (awaiting trial)
Micahel and Kristine Barnett (adoption/abandonment)
The Sarah Lawrence College cult (OMG, talk about going down a rabbit hole)

This missing-children case is several years old but I find I often recall it and look for updates. Unfortunately, there is no good news so far.

"Nearly six years have passed since Catherine Hoggle told police her two missing children were alive and safe, but wouldn’t provide their location."

I'd really like to know what's going on with that teacher in Australia from the "Teacher's Pet" podcast. They arrested him more than a year ago.

Eh, not really in the crime category until we know the cause of death though.
