Stafford floods really easily. Lots of narrow two lane roads out in the country. It gets bad here even with normal heavy rainfall. There is no way those buses could navigate Poplar, Brooke, Mountain View, …so many others. Also, it’s not a day off. The kids have asynchronous learning.

I remember a few years ago Fairfax closed for a windstorm. I thought that was stupid. Until we lost power for 24 hours. Sometimes it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Idk… I think they’re concerned about some pretty severe flooding. And looking at what’s happened in other areas of the country recently, I think it is probably the right choice.
