We got that desk for our child with ADHD so she could stand or swing her legs if sitting, and the white board surface is nice. It costs less than half as much on Amazon as it does at that link.

They all made it through high school. And yes, my kids did do their homework at their desks. But the total for each was only about 5 years of serious homework every night. Pretty much anything can survive that.
