Let's be honest. Consulting is just a gig the elitists from the ivies use to enrich themselves at the expense of society while doing a whole bunch of crap to ruin the country and lay people off. It's just a checkbox to fill out on your resume after college to get into the special club of elitists.

At my firm, new equity partners are all paid the same, regardless of business they manage or industry. In others, it’s totally different and those things matter (like in this area, federal partners might earn less than pharma partners).

How partners are compensated varies significantly by firm. Some are more lock-step and some pay entirely by business generated and managed. Booz/Deloitte partners are going to make significantly less than McKinsey partners all else equal.

You’re not going to get a great answer, as most of these are private partnerships. No one in an equity partner role is doing badly, senior or brand new.

Have friends you are at that level and I would say it depends a lot on the focus area but primarily corporate clients(not government) would easily be $3M+
