Is the Fairfax Sportsplex ownership the same as Rockville Sportsplex? I noticed that the Rockville Sportsplex building is for lease/sale.

I hope Rockville Sportsplex will be modernized as we desperately need good indoor soccer facilities in our area.

We have gone to the Sportsplex every winter for indoor play. While it's not as high class as TSJ across the street, it is functional and definitely has its market. I hope they don't make it too high end. So much in youth sports (in particular soccer) is inaccessible to lower income brackets so I'd hate to see an affordable venue go out the window to cater to the high-end families who already have a plethora of options. I have the Sportsplex flagged every winter as an affordable option. I'd hate to see that go.

It's a dump, but in non-COVID times, that does not bother me

rock and a hard place, if the improve it, the lose the one thing that attracted teams- the leagues cost almost nothing

That place was a petri dish before Covid. I'm not sure I will be going back.

It's a dump, so hopefully this is change for the better. I'm always convinced that building is going to burn down in the winter with those scary heaters breathing fire on what looks like an extremely flammable ceiling.

Saw in their FB page New building ownership and new business ownership. Wonder what major changes they are planning?
