I am all for this, but I would also like students (ES b/c unvaxxed) to be tested weekly.

Other school districts are promising this. Why can't we?

Oh really? I thought it was only available for valid reasons. That sucks.

DC is providing not just medical and religious opt outs but also an “I don’t want to get the vaccine so will instead get weekly testing” opt out

Of course. It would be safer for teachers if their colleagues were vaccinated. However, not all of your colleagues possess your common sense so WTU hasn't supported this.

The White House is threatening to withhold federal funding from nursing homes that don't get their entire staffs vaxxed. Biden should do the same thing with schools.

A Vaccine mandate with no testing opt out would require DCPS to negotiate that with the WTU and the other public sector unions. DCPS just agreed to not announce any new polices regarding vaccines without negotiating it first with the WTU.🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️
