Pittsburgh?

(I think Pennsylvania doesn't tax pensions, so retiring there is a good idea financially. But Philly's humidity is awful)

I've been to the Philly suburbs for summer lacrosse tournaments and it's hotter than shit. Every bit as bad as here.

OP here.. I don't need or want uber liberal (I am an Independent), but yea, I was just saying to my spouse that anywhere pleasant and diverse is going to be expensive.

I thought about Portland/Beaverton, but taxes seem a bit too high there for us to retire early.

How do all these retirees deal with the FL humidity? Do older people tolerate humidity better? I'm 50, and still can't deal with the DC humidity. Would I be able to tolerate it better in my 60s/70s?

OP here.... how the heck are the suburbs in Philly so hot. Isn't it up north enough for it not to be as humid as DC.

I am seriously running out of places to look at to retire.

I want to live near an airport, and lots of diversity (I am not white). I cannot handle the humidity. I can handle cold, just not humidity.

I also perfer coastal areas, and not because of politics.

Sorry, OP, it's super humid. Great place but I don't think the weather is a selling point. In addition to humid summers we also have gray icy winters

Summers suck and winters are worse. Great restaurants so you’ll get fat because your indoors too much.

I cannot take the humidity. Would the suburbs of Philly be less humid? PA taxes seem reasonable.
