I agree that building up immunity is great, but I also think that happens just in normal life.

I also think that things have changed in the past year. If my kid gets a runny nose, we have to stay home from whatever until we get a negative covid test, which typically means at least a couple days of missed activities.

You went to the pool, OP. Presumably there were other people there than just you and your friend. She may not have made the best decision but then you don’t have complete control in a public environment where everyone has different standards . It could have been someone else. I go out accepting that level of risk.

Nothing is going to happen. There’s a couple weeks left of pool season. She sucks but it’s done. Move on.

Oh yeah, never invite her to anything during the winter months. Now you know.

You don’t get a cold overnight.

A friend showed up with a cold and then tested positive for covid now six of us are in quarantine. Incredibly irresponsible and stupid.

Oh, that6awful. Poor kids. My 16mo has RSV right now, and she's so miserable and struggling with it that I can't imagine taking her anywhere. Just the trip to the pediatrician wore her out.

Not invite her anywhere else.

Don't let her get away with saying "but it is just allergies." This used to drive me bonkers pre-cocid,

I know a few selfish people like this. Totally unacceptable. If an acquaintance, drop her. A real friend, ask every time if anyone is sick before we get together.

Never talk to her or let my kids around hers again.

A friend brought her sick kids to the pool and infected every other kid at the party with RSV. I know she knew her kids were sick. What would you do with this?
