My midwife says all her clients with multiple kids worry about the kids that are at home more than the coming baby.

I'm not a perfect mom but that's messed up. I definitely realized when my third wasn't feeding well and sought medical attention.

To burp him. I remembered when I saw a nurse burping a baby outside a room and was like “oh that’s why he has been fussy his entire 25-hour life”. Oops.

OP here: yay!!! Great response!! Last time around when I realized they would give us so diapers we literally kept stuffing some in our bag and making requests for more. Lol. So definitely will be doing that again
It's just such a funny thing that this whole time I forgot the one item we're going to be using non stop for the next 18 months...

Pp here. I had some coming on my subscribe and save but it wouldn’t get here until after the baby. Ehh I wasn’t concerned. I also didn’t want to buy newborn diapers in case I had a big baby. And she was almost 9lb and newborn didn’t fit her.

To bathe him. Things would get hectic around the house and it would slip my mind completely. I think he went a full two weeks once without a proper bath (not just a wipe down)

NBD OP, just grab the rest of the pack from the hospital and send DH to grab more before or after he brings you home.

With DD2, totally forgot that you adjust the straps on the baby bucket as they get bigger. So the placement of all the buckets when DD1 was a year old was not the right setting for a 6 pound newborn. Was all ready to walk out of hospital and buckled baby in and realized it was all wrong. But couldn't actual figure out why it was so wrong..started to panic. But then husband remembered about adjusting the.. Baby out (now super mad) and disassemble to fix straps. Oops.

my 3rd child was the only one who ...
took pacifiers
I needed to supplement with (had bottles - but needed to run out and get formula) and I forgot about needing infant sized feeding bottle nipples
we had gotten rid of infant tub and did not realize it until home from hospital

Well that took a depressing turn.

Forgot to take the car seat to the hospital.

Okay I am starting this to make fun of myself. My due date's tomorrow, baby #3. Feel free to add in your own.

DH and I have been super low-key and prepared. Using the same bassinet we had for the first 2. Lots of hand-me-downs. Feeling great and easy-going, ready for the baby to come any moment!

This evening I realized... Diapers! OMG. Our due date is tomorrow and we literally do not have diapers. How could I have let that slip.

So I'll send DH on an errand to get diapers tomorrow if the baby doesn't come tonight already (had early, fast labor with the last 2 so could easily happen tonight). Just could not believe I feel like such a seasoned pro and I forgot... diapers.
