We found a wide-brimmed, floppy hat really helped. We got ours from LL Bean. My kid hates hats but for whatever reason he wears it.

I love my toddler's sunglasses (and he looks so cute in them!) but they often aren't worth the headache.

Neither of my kids would keep the sunglasses on, though we made a valiant effort. So now we just have them wear wide-brim sun hats, which provide plenty of coverage and shade for their faces. I like the Sunday Afternoons ones.

A big sunhat might work better. But if you can get your baby to keep sunglasses on there are many cheap options on Amazon. The one my baby has wraps around head. She always tries to take it off though.

Second weefarers! We got them after we lost a cheap pair. And they come with croakies to help keep them on. My kid is hit or miss but generally keeps them on when it’s bright out and they are so dang cute!

I will also add that my toddlers generally keep their sunglasses on so long as it is bright, so I think every kid is different. One of my twins in fact gets really bothered by the sun and says that his eyes hurt when it gets really bright and he's not wearing his sunglasses.

Agree with the suggestions to buy something cheap. DD2 treats her sunglasses like a toy and will not wear them die any length of time. She does wear a hat though.

We have a couple of cheap pairs, but on our most recent beach visit, all of my efforts were focused on keeping the sunhat on. The sunglasses never made it out of the beach bag.

Sun hats are likely to work better, but yes, you can buy toddler sunglasses. Don't spent a lot of money on them, because some kids just keep taking them off and they can get lost or broken.

Our kids have always worn big sun hats which helps shield their eyes. My DD loved wearing sunglasses at that age (Babiator brand is good) but my DS wouldn't keep the sunglasses on.

yes, order a pair for $7 on amazon. mornings can be bright also if you are at the beach or in the pool
