Are kids on your bus wearing masks per federal law? If so, they wouldn't count as a close contact under the K-12 masking exemption for contacts.

I'm seriously considering pulling my kid from aftercare. My office is delaying reopening, so I could do without it the first semester, unless I have to go out to a site elsewhere in the region and cant make it back by 3:30. But we dont actually have any site visits planned yet, so it seems kind of crazy to have him sit on the cafeteria eating snacks with all grades every day just in case.

We also ordered some KF94 small masks in hope they are better than cloth. That's all i got as far as mitigation ideas

I don't know the answer. My kid is going to in school beforecare and aftercare program that has different grades combined and it us another risk that we cannot avoid because both parents working away from home. And, I hear kids might eat at Cafe that has many grades in together, so I don't know the answer how they are measuring who is considered close contact for quarantine. And, I would say no testing means no possible positive cases because I already know some kids are tested positive with no symptom or mild symptom only before school starts.
