About the same here. Sometimes if I think I’ve bought a lot of clothes and they should be set, they will buy something else. Or if it can’t be worn to school, I’ll make them pay for the item.

Nothing.
They have a budget.
They are expected to do well in school, do 2 sports, coach a special olympics team in the winter, do their laundry, trash, empty dishwasher. They are camp counselors 2-4 weeks a summer.
I was the kid that had to pay for everything which meant I did nothing but drink beer with friends. I had a job but clothes, school supplies, and saving git college was a lot. I know my teens drink but they also go to Nats games, golf, fish, kayak, rock climb, go to concerts, etc.
They have a budget.
They are expected to do well in school, do 2 sports, coach a special olympics team in the winter, do their laundry, trash, empty dishwasher. They are camp counselors 2-4 weeks a summer.

We pay for everything but they don’t ask for much. We pay for the Apple subscription because I don’t want them getting music on Youtube. We have to beg them to buy clothes. We pay for their Kindle books which gets pricey but it’s better than screentime. They each get $13 and $15 a week into their accounts but it just accumulates.

Where does she get her money from?
She worked as an online tutor for a 5th grader throughout Covid remote schooling. She tutors other children on her instrument. She gets $10/week allowance from us. Also birthday and holiday gifts.

Shoes beyond the basic ones I'll cover
Monthly subscriptions beyond what I cover
She gets an allowance for a set list of chores, weeds and cuts the grass for extra cash, waters people's plants when out of town. She can't wait to get a real job.
