The problem is that the census data is completely inaccurate because of this. It creates fear for no reason.

You know when Tucker Carlson says the same exact thing as these headlines are saying he gets labelled a “conspiracy theorist for advancing the Great Replacement Theory” right? Ditto anyone else who is right of center who echoes the same sentiments as these headlines. Talking about demographic change isn’t fake news when the Washington Post does it I guess.
When Tucker Carlson mentions it he creates fear. It's not just stating information. He riles people up and makes them believe they are losing their power. It's terrifying actually.

It's bullshit no matter who's doing it. Noting the demographic changes is fine. Focusing on white people as being more or less relevant than any other group is problematic -- unless there is a similar spate of "Asian American populations growing" or whatever.

A meaningful change in the US's racial make up seems like one of the more noteworthy pieces of information to come out of this last Census. Though it's a fair point to wonder why the headlines all emphasized the relative decline in the white population instead of saying something like, "Census shows increasing racial and ethnic diversity in the US".
