I think the pandemic has actually made kids nicer to each other. My kid was picked on all through elementary school, but when he showed up for hybrid 6th grade this spring, he said it was like everyone had forgotten who used to be popular, etc. Kids who never gave him the time of day last year were asking him to sit with them outside at lunch. I think they were all just so happy to finally be socializing in person again. Don't know how long that will last this year, but it was a silver lining to Covid.

It’s middle school. Despite all the anti-bullying efforts, it’s still inherent. A lot of it takes place on social media.
