APS as a whole is making a big push towards more SEL in the upcoming year and increasing the numbers of school counselors (I believe that was the result of a new ratio from the state)

No. Yeah, if I had my choice we would have stayed Taylor but so it is.

Yes. ASFS is now Cherrydale and Lyon Village West.

We went on the tour and to the play dates this past week and we’re super impressed. The principle is definitely old school but also seems super engaged and committed to the kids and school. The PTA President and other parents who have been at ASFS were very nice and helpful. We’re excited to start the year- and love that there is a park right across the street that will be nice to go to after school.

This is a really weird question to ask before school has even started.

New ASFS parent here. School hasn't started, so hard to say. There are some cool things about the facilities. Coming from Taylor, which was a very nurturing/nice school, I'm more concerned about that based on what I've heard and won't really know until school starts.

New people is ASFS all you hoped it would be? How does it compare to your original school?
