My oldest (now 8) attended Rodef for three years, and my youngest will be starting in the threes program this year. We absolutely loved it. My eight year old was extremely shy in preschool and she really came out of her shell there. The class sizes were never huge, so I don’t see her getting lost in that regard. There was one lead teacher and one assistant for each class. It was very play based! They did go outside at least once a day, but I don’t know that it will be to the extent that you are looking for. Perhaps more so now with Covid? I’m just not sure. Country Day students spend a ton of time outside so you might want to also consider that.

Hello, we have a shy 3yo that has had a pretty sheltered pandemic-life so far. I am looking into starting her in a program with a focus on socializing this fall. I know I’m late to the game, but would like to
know more about the program at TRS. I would prefer lead teachers with early education degrees or something comparable, play based, lots of child led learning and significant outdoor time daily. Ideally I would prefer a full on forest school environment but there doesn’t seem to be one within a sensible commute for where we live.
How responsive are the teachers to helping children come out of their shell? With a bigger school environment I am concerned that a quiet, shy girl is going to get the short end of attention over more boisterous kids.
