Domestic Travel

International Travel
1. May not attend school for ten days after returning OR
2. May not attend school for seven days after returning, get tested 3-5 after returning AND receive a negative COVID 19 viral test. Even if the test is negative, the child must not attend school for seven days.

The analogous requirement of the bolded part is missing under Domestic Travel.

there is no PCR requirement. I also don’t think there’s any requirement to send the test results. Most people will ignore this rule.

Assuming the child has no symptoms or known exposure, they don’t have to isolate.

Yes, you do.


our DCPS requires you to send them the results for the negative test before returning. It remains unclear how any missed days will be counted.

Following travel within the US, students must get a PCR test 3-5 days after returning. What isn't clear is whether they also need to stay home for those days. Does anyone know for sure?

(It's clear that following international travel they do need to also stay home while awaiting test result.)
