My dog had fleas twice with frontline. Is there another flea preventative for cats?
I got rid of fleas by vacuuming daily and washing sheets often. I vacuumed and closed off rooms we didn’t use to stop the spread. I also combed my dog twice per day (drown fleas in soapy water). Took a few weeks but I didn’t want to use a flea bomb.

You need to also vacuum every single day. Those eggs will keep hatching.

OP...YOU NEED TO FLEA BATHE THE CAT! ALSO CONFINE HIM TO ONE LOCATION IN THE HOUSE AS YOU MONITOR AMD ADDRESS THE FLEAS HOPPING AROUND TBE REST OF THE HOUSE.
PUT HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IN A SPRAY BOTTLE AND SPRITZ IT AROUND THE CARPET AND VACCUUM.

That won't get rid of the fleas in the house.

I would try a different flea treatment. In areas with serious flea problems, the fleas can become resistant to certain insecticides. If Frontline uses a different active ingredient I would give it a try. I don't know if your cat will let you give it a bath (we've always had dogs), but we've found a diluted iodine bath does a good job at killing the fleas. We've had some serious flea problems in the past but have never needed to treat the whole house, we just try to vacuum a lot. Also, once you get rid of them, check your cat frequently. It's much easier to get rid of them before the infestation gets really bad.

In addition to the flea treatment on the cat, you will need to treat the whole house. Flea bombs will get rid of many of the current adults, so are a good place to start. I'd also recommend brushing a mixture of boric acid and diatomaceous earth into all of your carpets and furniture to help kill off the larvae. You probably need to flea comb the cat a couple times a day in addition to the advantage. Until you eliminate the fleas in the environment the cat will continue to get reinfested.

Bomb your apartment or house. You can't just treat the pet when you have fleas.

Fleabomb. Also give your cat a flea shampoo and a dip.

My fifteen year old cat has horrible fleas during the hot/humid summer months.
But this summer has been the worst.
I have given him Advantage Plus and after like four days later, he is back to constant scratching and licking while I have these little tiny pests landing on my skin almost every second.
I have washed the bedding in hot water as well as vacuumed the carpets like a crazy woman.
What more can I do??
