This happened to me in n Michigan and all day I thought I had delta. It’s anxiety.

OP. Well I won’t sugar coat, freshwater lake at 85F yeah could have tons of Naegleria fowleri. But guess what, it has almost no treatment and kills you fast. If you don’t have a crushing headache in two days, you are likely fine. But there is nothing to be done.

What lake was it?
A random lake in the Caribbean (not a typo, a lake on an island. I am positive it was freshwater).
Which island? I wasn’t aware the Caribbean had lakes. Why wouldn’t you just swim in the Caribbean waters themselves?
I’m in Puerto Rico. The resort we are staying at is on the beach but also has a lake.
