I had mine out at 16 in the 80s.

It's easier when younger for all the reasons mentioned here.

Yes normal in the 80s normal in today's world.

We were just told that 16 is the new normal for girls. Supposedly easier before the bones harden or something.

I had mine removed at 14 and it was actually too late. My teeth were crowded and the wisdom teeth pushed my 12 year molars into the teeth in front of them I had to have another surgery to try to fix the damage but I ended up losing a 12 year molar as a result.

They are starting to do it around 16 now. I think it depends on their development.

I had mine out at 14, almost 25 years ago.

The orthodontist recommended removing my son's wisdom teeth. He says it is "easier" when they are younger.

I don't think I had mine removed until I was 18 or 19.

I guess they'll have to come out sooner or later, but I was a bit surprised they wanted to do it this soon.
