+1 And, I have liked that they are assigned by last name so both my kids had the same counselor. They both have ADHD and so see the counselor a bit more because of that. Ours has been pretty responsive to issues and quick to help with a class changes when needed.

This is the case at Wakefield. Each counselor has a mix of students fresh-senior. Counselors have to help with college applications, etc. But my daughter's counselor left fresh year and we got a new one, so they can still change.

No, the counselors came and went. They have so many students at WL they weren't any help. They only care about the IB kids. Good luck if you have a special needs kid, zero help.
