Lots of pleasant (not jammed in or a Covid add-on like some other areas) outdoor dining in the Meatpacking District when I was there in June. We combined dinner with an evening sunset visit to Little Island (see the large write up in the Sunday WashPost). You’ll need reservations (free) for Little Island visit. We just walked up to a restaurant for dinner but that was a weekday and early.

Quality Italian on w57th has good food with a small outdoor dining section.

Outdoor dining recs in NYC? Adults only, no kids. We like French, American, or anything else that DCUM deems “basic”. Somewhere in Manhattan but neighborhood not important.
