I squeeze the site for the insertion of the needle - it makes the skin taught and less painful for the needle to go in. I then release and push the plunger to expel the medicine. I am sure you are fine the way you did it….did you see lots of oozing liquid when he injected it? If not, then the medicine went in.

The CVS video I watched for my medication had the person pinching their skin the entire time it was injected so I think you did great!

Help. I just started IVF injections. When my husband gave me the injection, I squeezed my skin, but continued to squeeze it instead of letting go after the needle was put in. My husband said that the medicine was injected in my body. The next day, I let go of the squeeze and the injection felt completely different and hurt. Maybe because I was worried?
