I'd think your kids needs a stool test to rule out giardia since it's been going on so long.

Do you have a link? We do have culturelle powder kid version, would that work?

I’d go to a different ped or gi dr and also repeat the covid test. My dd has covid last winter and had a bad stomach for several weeks. We were told no applesauce or juice. If won’t drink pedialyte or Gatorade then do watered down juice but apple sauce and juice won’t help. Also, of course you can’t send her back to daycare! You’ve already admitted it’s contagious bc she got you sick. Consider a nanny or an pair to avoid these day care bugs and missed work

I was had something like this and I think she ended up needing an antibiotic. And then allergy medicine because it was initiated by a postnasal drip. Basically it just went right into her tummy.

Your daycare does not want your child there if she has diarrhea.

I'd go to an urgent care or another ped as yours sounds terrible. She should go to a pediatric GI at this point.

This is op. We have taken her to see pediatrician three times already, and they are not giving her medication, antibiotics or giving her a stool test. She passed everything in me and got me terribly sick with fever and coughing non stop. We are both covid negative. We have not given her any dairy, but we don't follow closely on BRAT diet. She eats almost nothing everyday, just 2 spoon of pasta and 1 bite of bread for dinner, 2 bite of bread and 1 piece of chicken nugget for lunch, and 2 bite of bread and apple sauce for breakfast. She has dropped 2 lbs of weight already but she is happy drinking juice and apple sauce and water.

Is it for real that I have to wait till there is only 0-1 diarrhea per 24 hours for sure even handbooks says so. I know she gets it from daycare because she is huge only kid getting sick for now, and not the other 2 kids.

2 weeks is not normal. I would cut out all dairy. I think it is some food intolerance issue.

I just made a thread about 1 week of diarrhea in my kid (covid neg). I think I'm going to push for them to do a stool sample tomorrow rather than Tuesday, if possible:

I would get a covid test as it is one symptom but at this point take her to a pediatric gi.

Could she have a lactose sensitivity? Diet has worked for us. One serving of regular dairy per day is tolerable for DS but if he’s had a lot and gets loose stool, we have to eliminate it completely and start again.

My kid had a stomach virus from day care when he was abut 10 months old. It came on so quickly didn't realize what it would do to his poor bottom. After buying so many diaper creams realized all of it came off into diaper, so I stumbled across Calmoseptine on Amazon which forms a protective shield from wetness/acids (it's for bedridden people with bedsores) and it helped so much. I recommend all parents with young kids who have stomach bugs/diarrhea stock up on this b/c it was a life saver.

Daycare says no diarrhera twice per 24 hours on their handbook, but it has been so painful for us to work it work.

My child got something from daycare, and she has diarrhea for 1-2 times daily for almost 2 weeks. We were called to pick her up immediately from day 1 that when she had 2 diarrhea at daycare , and since then we have been keeping her at home. Pediatrician says let it run the course and she is happy every day except of daily diarrhera. Do I really have to wait till diarhera is gone to send her back to daycare? We have been missing meetings and so and so from work. And, any methods to stop diarhera?
