So what does my child do for education those 2 weeks?

It will be asychronous work. Kind of like back in the day when you got mono and the teacher sent homework home with a neighbor.

Thank you for saying this. People are freaking out, but you forget that when we were kids there was no online option, the teacher would just give you work to do.

Why do you think this is acceptable. We have evolved and can have live virtual education. Why send worksheets home for my kid when some other kid got exposed. This is absurd

Because you chose the in-person education for your kid, and concurrent education was such a s***how that neither parents nor teachers/staff want it ever coming back.

Also, the virtual learners next year deserve an education where in-person kids aren't floating through their classrooms as they get quarantined, and constantly disrupting their own community and education.

It’s good impetus to not be that kids parents. I’m for it.

It’ll be robust asynchronous work—the very best.

Not in APS but my son had a kid next to him test positive and we were never contacted or asked to stay home. We only know because they are friends and we were told that way. The positive kid was out for two weeks, I think.

If my 4th grader has a kid next to him that tests positive, how long is he out of school? Is he actually out or online?
