My 16-year-old went to a mass vax site and they checked her birth certificate twice. My 12-year-old went to CVS and they never looked at anything.

We were not asked for any ID. Just made the appt online and were asked for health insurance card info. That's it.

I was wondering this. We have an international move planned for September, in peak Delta wave, and I'd feel better if my 11 year old son were vaccinated. He's on the waiting list of a clinical trial, but they haven't called yet, and we don't know what kind of vaccine or placebo he'd get anyway. I am tempted to walk up at a CVS, and hope for the best...

But note if you get it early I suspect it will cause problems down the line…you may get back billed for it, and if you try to use it for travel, you may get pushback as to why it doesn’t match DOB on passport. My teen was pushing for me to break the rules before the 12-15 approval and I said no—in addition to being wrong, it will cause problems down the line.

They don’t ask. I wasn’t even required to show proof of my medical condition to get my shot early. I fully expected to be asked to show some kind of proof of my diagnosis.

I wasn’t asked to show anything but my own ID when my 15 year old was vaccinated.

At our site in MD, if no child ID, I think they asked parents to show their own.

We didn’t need anything. They did ask the kids their age and grade - there were about 8 there at the same time and all we’re asked.

Will they ask? I took DS to CVS and we were not asked for anything. If they don’t let you, go there. You can get same day appointments now.
