Commerce Kids is amazing. I don’t think they’re reopen yet, but if enough families are interested they will.

Bambini is opening a brand new location across the street from Union Station on August 16th, and they are still holding open houses through next week. There are still a few slots available.

We were at Penn Quarter and liked it (had a military subsidy so it was a bit cheaper), but I think the leadership changed and there was a lot of changeover. You can search the forum for more on that, but we had a good experience in the infant room a few years ago while transitioning back to DC.

For downtown-adjacent we like USDA's child development center. It's one of the least expensive options available and we've had a great experience in infant, toddler and now preschool. They have an outdoor playground for each age group which is great. I think for non-federal employees it is under $2k still (by far the most affordable option nearby.)

Our children went to US Kids (now in the GSA Bldg at 18th and F) and we loved their infant teachers. It is also much more affordable than some of the privately-run centers, especially if you are a fed. Waitlists there are not as crazy as they used to be.

We have been at Federal Triangle Bambini since the infant stage. We love them.

Does anyone have good experience with any of the facilities downtown for infant care? Are they all in the range of ~$2,700? We've looked at PennQuarter KinderCare and BH East End. Wondering if there are any ones that I'm missing that would be a little cheaper?

We live in Shaw so willing to go nearby or close to Capitol Hill too.
