Yes, but they can still catch it because the Detla produces 1,000x as much virus, be asymptomatic, and give it to anti-vax folks! We have to think of the anti-vaxers and live our lives with special protections for them! Also, COVID is here to stay. It's not going to be eliminated from the planet. At some point we have to live our lives like normal. We can't act like this is a plague when 99.7% of deaths are the unvaccinated.
uh, or they can go put on their big boy grown up pants and go get their vaccine like the rest of us. I'll be f'ed if I start masking to protect anyone who is eligible and able to get the vaccine (so no need to rush in and deliver a lecture about your toddler) but just doesn't.

My 10 year old is not anti-vax.


Your 10 year old isn't going to die of COVID. Your 10 year old has a higher chance of drowning. I wish they would approve them for under 12 already. I have a 10 year old too and I'm not worried about death from COVID but I would like a vaccine for him so he wouldn't even get a minor cold (also to shut up all the screaming over-protective parents).

Now, if anyone tries to force me to wear a mask while running or to mask my preschooler on city sidewalks, the answer is no. There us zero evidence that is necessary to protect people, even with Delta (assuming social distancing is possible and interactions are truly fleeting— we wear masks outdoors in crowded areas or for prolonged contact).

Totally fine, we never stopped masking indoors even after we were vaccinated because we have an unvaccinated child and it’s easy to mask indoors.

Now, if anyone tries to force me to wear a mask while running or to mask my preschooler on city sidewalks, the answer is no. There us zero evidence that is necessary to protect people, even with Delta (assuming social distancing is possible and interactions are truly fleeting— we wear masks outdoors in crowded areas or for prolonged contact).

Let’s just be rational. Please.

Regardless of vaccination status. The CDC is listing DC as in the "substantial" risk category.
