We've used Hello Fresh for almost 2 years now, we get 3 boxes a week, went through a phase of 4 boxes a week. We haven't noticed any change in quality in all that time. We have never, even during Covid, had a delivery be late or canceled. actually, once there was a delivery snafu and the food arrived a day late, and they refunded us. And probably 3 times I've had a complaint - like missing item or poor quality item, and they've refunded that meal. Overall, we're happy. My husband loves the small portions, and credits it for losing a lot of weight. (When I cook, I cook too much food, ha!). Plus, they do have a lot of variety - we eat everything - and are not a picky family at all - and they switch things up regularly. Anyway, it's not AMAZING, but it adds variety and for 3 nights a week, I don't have to think about dinner, so we're not stopping any time soon. I'm too lazy to try another service.

I use to have Blue Apron, Hello Fresh and Marley Spoon and would just choose whichever menu I liked best each week. However, I found that I was almost always choosing Marley Spoon so have cancelled the others.

DP but we switched from HelloFresh to Blue Apron. My observations: the recipes are more interesting and some have options (e.g., add shrimp or chicken). The produce and ingredients tend to be very fresh. We always have leftovers and can get two meals out of it. My kids eat it and enjoy it and they try new things. We do it 2X per week, get 3-4 meals out of it. I also think they seem more organized. With HF, I’d get a box or cancelled or one wouldn’t show. Ingredients would be left out or seem old. I haven’t had that experience with BA. We also tried Gobble, which was good and is supposed to be quicker/require less prep, and I’d say it was/did, but my kids didn’t like the recipes as much as BA.

Looking online they are owned by the same company. And the food photos are identical

The oven ready meals from Home Chef were good. Some great, some Meh, but mostly good. But not as fresh as Hello Fresh, but prep was super quick!

We've been using HelloFresh for our family of 4 and it's "fine". I end up cooking some things separately or adding based on preferences but it's been okay and gotten us out of the same routine. However, I'm getting disappointed about the quality of some veggies. And last week they forgot the meal cards (not the end of the world) and this week one of the sauce ingredients (more annoying, we could still have dinner). Is there an alternative that you'd recommend trying?
