I live in Potomac with older kids now. We met a lot of families in the Potomac/Rockville area by taking toddler oriented classes in the area. I’ve heard My Gym in Potomac has outdoor classes. That may be a good place to start?

Ok great area. Not mine but great area. What I would recommend is reaching out to the PTA President for the school your children will attend. They tend to be helpful, informed people. They may know of groups and they will likely point you in the right direction for soccer or swimming or whatever you are into. I did this when we moved here 10 years ago and we became good friends. Greet people with an open mind and give folks a couple of chances. Potomac truly is one of the most friendly, generous and kind community in which we have ever lived and we’ve lived lots of places. Oh and definitely go to the Potomac Day parade in October if they have it this year. Welcome! Hope you like it and are happy here!

Thank you so much!

Moving to Potomac and know no one there. I'm coming from a neighborhood with a very active mom network that facilitates intros between new moms. Is there anything like that out there? I have a couple toddlers and would like to meet other families.
