Be careful with framing if this is a wealthy family. When you have a professionally decorated home, you can get picky about framing because of how it blends with the other wall decor. Personally I'd prefer an unframed collection of photos or an album.

Ha, thanks, but not wealthy or professionally decorated. Just retired in a LCOL area with a pension and well timed investments, so less cash strapped than we are at our stage of life. Frames are off the rack but good point about coordinating. Will consider the digital frame too.

This sounds lovely. Ignore the wet rag above. We will take framed photos every day. Or the mugs or stuff made by the kids. Hand-made thank you cards and letters from the kids are awesome!!!

We also like flowers, and fruit from Harry and David. Yes, we can buy them for ourselves but we won't and don't. So it is always welcome when we receive them.

Your parents are doing this because they value the time and the memories your children will have with them. Help them capture memories!

Also, give them a digital photo frame and keep uploading with recent pics of the kids.

Maybe a gift card for luxury fruit delivery (small orchards provide this).

This. And mention the memories they have provided for your children.

Pictures of kids. I sent mine nice mugs with collages of kids pics. A note/letter is nice. Fancy chocolates.
Pretty much my in-laws are the same and don't want stuff. So we send them consumables or kid things. They're happy.

My parents have hosted us for a multi week visit and helped us immensely with childcare this month (I was only able to take one week vacation but was then able to telework). They've given us so much, what on earth can we do to thank them? They are more comfortable than we are financially and I can't think of any stuff they want. I know they do want to do a lot of travel when covid is over but we're talking international, not b&b gift certificate. They don't like any of the restaurants 3hereth dry live. No interest in spas, massages, etc. What is something a retired couple enjoying a lovely home might enjoy?
