The success of this team is just another example of how strong the talent pool is for the boys in this area, especially for the 2006 group. DCU 06s were final eight at MLSNext finals and VDA qualified for ECNL National Playoffs. Arlington boys won Eastern Regionals for USYS and also qualified for ECNL Final Eight (but didn’t go). Throw as much shade as you want, but this is noteworthy.
I'm sure I'll get ECNL bashing in a response, but does anyone honestly understand why they would do the USYS nationals instead of the ECNL nationals? If I had to pick one, I would think it would be ECNL over USYS.

USYS. Which one did your kid’s team play in?
There are just so many National Championships that it is hard to keep track of.
Not really, but obviously harder for some than others, and if your kid isn’t in them, you don’t need to worry your little head about it, do you?
But it needs to be announced on an anonymous web forum. Humble bragging on your Facebook account isn’t enough, huh?
