I am vaccinated so yes, if I was in the market to be providing childcare, yes I would.

No why are you even thinking about this.

It depends if she's desperate or not. I cannot in good conscience refuse the request if the kids have nowhere to go. However I wouldn't be happy about it.

I would do it in an emergency for my best friends.

For anyone else, or under circumstances that allow time to hire someone, it is too much. Regardless of covid.

My decision would not even consider vaccination status.

Asking someone to care for your kids for three days, especially without pay, is quite an outrageous favor to ask.

I would not be worried about Covid since we don’t have high risk people in our house, but that is a long time to watch such young kids.

In my household - no. Yes, the friend is a great neighbor but so far we've managed to keep all interactions outdoors since 2020.

Yes, I would.

Assuming you don't have a high risk family member.

We are continuing to be very cautious after vaccination, because I think we need to get the Rnaught down, to prevent further variants from developing. However, I'm not particularly worried about catching it myself. I think the vaccine is a great protection. So, if me doing something meant it was safer and less likely to cause community spread (e.g. you watching them is safer than if she sent them to a friend who also had young kids, or to a grandparent who has health issues), I would do it without worry.

Are you afraid they might get COVID under your care or they might have COVID and transmit it to your family members?

You cannot vaccinate a 4 yo and a 2 yo.

I'm 100% pro vax but this is a stupid question.

That was my point. I'm not comfortable with the children in my home because they're not vaccinated (and likely won't be for some time). As such I think its a valid reason to deny the request but I want to know what others think.

Curious as a friend has asked that I watch her 4-year-old and 2-year-old for a brief 72 hour period while at a work conference.
