If you get to 2 weeks past and the test is still negative I'd still email my OBGYN. They will probably tell you it's no big deal (skipping a period can happen in an otherwise healthy person) but they can give you more certainty about when to worry.
Since you're on TTC, are you TTC? How long have you been trying? Being over 36 and skipping a period and TTC for 3+ months might be enough for a referral.

Two options involving pregnancy:
1) it's taking a while for the HcG to get above the detection level of the test. The accuracy claims are based on 1-2 weeks after the missed period. Read the test instructions carefully and test again or email your OBGYN.
2) It could be a chemical pregnancy and the HcG is now below the level of detection and your period will start soon. For my chemical I got 2 positives and then several days of negatives before getting my period.
Same here.

When I got vaccinated, i was late 10 days.
Anonymous wrote:If you have had this, what was the cause? No blood test was done, but definitely not too early to do a home test and that is definitely negative. Also, I’ve been having nausea and mild cramps. I keep feeling maybe it’s my period coming, but then it isn’t. I’m 36, no peri-menopause symptoms, periods are generally very regular varying (if they do) maybe 1-2 days.
