Yup. Anyone who watched the last World Cup without Red-White-Blue glasses on saw this coming. The glorified playground approach to playing the game doesn't cut it anymore.

How do you get faster and more physical in a week? Or younger ?
Us will win next 2 games (hopefully) against the weak teams
That knockout game looks like v Netherlands will be next quality opponent. I don’t like the US chances

Give credit to the Sweds for preparing very well and showing up to play physical and with pressure defense. They were faster, more physical and aggressive. Hopefully, the USWNT will take this loss to better prepare for the next game.
It seems no one on the USWNT played well at all.
The US passing is never crisp because they never pass. This is what happens when you can’t pass and you can’t outrun the other team. People have been warning about this for some time now and all they heard back was “we keep winning World Cups, we are amazing and we don’t need to change. Europe will never catch up.”

Ironically Vlatko when faced with a striker who shoul be in prime but is ineffective - Morgan 45 minutes 1 header off target - can only solve it by subbin on a 39 year old Lloyd.
Teams know u only have to stop US players for a half now as they won’t play full time

Damn, and I was so looking forward to Rapinoe hype, Rapinoe getting handed gift PKs to lead the tourney in scoring, Rapinoe colored hair, Rapinoe open armed pose post PK goal score and of course my favorite Rapinoe social justice message to teach us all how to behave properly
