I cut mine off in a rage of postpartum, "I'm fat. I need a change. NOW." The BIG problem: I could no longer pull it into a bun, slap on some lip tint, and look put together in 5 minutes. I had to style it. I had to buy products. I had to ... do stuff.all.the.time. And I apparently have cowlicks everywhere.

Get your partner to watch the kids, go get your hair cut, layered, and styled in a way that gives you options. You're a busy woman. Options are good. Short hair is not usually full of options.

OP Do NOT cut your hair until you’re closer to a year PP. Hormones will cloud your decision making. 😊

I feel like long straight hair is reserved for girls between 17-30.

I don’t feel put together? It’s just…long and straggly. And coming out in HANDFULS.

A low maintenance short haircut can make you look more put-together! But maybe not shorter than chin-length, anything shorter is not as flattering (I've done all kinds of short cuts, and avoid pixie/very short now, as they are less flattering as I get older).

I'm 9 years postpartum and never lost the weight. I have a chin length haircut. It's all about the cut and style. Go get your hair cut and tell them about your lifestyle. Maybe look at a long bob or something that's in between your shoulders and chin.

I am five months postpartum. I am a mother to three. I don’t have a lot of style, and I stay at home. My hair is a mess. It is past shoulder length, and healthy, But doesn’t have any style.

I am 38, and worried that I can’t have long hair anymore. But I also worry that if I have short hair, it will make me look more fat.

I would love some suggestions for hairstyles. Can I have shorter hair? What kind of cut can I get that doesn’t require a lot of work? I also worry about being a triangle head!
